Tony-grilling

Where did CJ’s come from?

CJ’s owner, Tony, got the nickname CJ from his wife, Kate. Together, the local couple decided to share his passion for cooking and sharing his unique food ideas with others. CJ’s homemade deep fried deviled eggs and homemade sauces are a must try!

The pair decided to open CJ’s Takeout & Late Nite Bites, a food truck permanently parked at 150 Carlisle St. in historic Gettysburg, Pa. Originally the idea was to open up a late night food spot. However, after only being open for two weeks the current pandemic hit, which unfortunately, resulted in the closure of the local college and bars. The decision was then made to adjust their opening to dinner hours to better serve the community during this unprecedented time.

This new adventure is certainly a family affair. You’ll most likely see Kate and Tony’s family working the deep fryer or helping with the prep work behind the scenes.

CJ’s is incredibly excited to be apart of the downtown Gettysburg family and have been overwhelmed by the amount of local support they have already received since their opening in late February 2020.
